Latino Musicians

Music is an integral part of the worship life of Christ Church, for music is a precious gift from God, inspiring us in our praise, prayer, and meditation.  Through music we are drawn closer to each other and closer to God.

Led primarily by our organ (the largest pipe organ in Nevada), our first choir is the entire congregation, singing “hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs.” Our traditional choir, the Choir of Christ Church, sings for the 10:30 a.m. service each Sunday, as well as for other special services, September through May. New singers are always welcome. No audition is required. Music reading ability is helpful but not mandatory. The choir sings a wide variety of musical styles, and we are blessed to be a loving a supportive community. We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00.

Christ Church also hosts a series of fine musical concerts, usually one per month between September and May.

If you have any questions about singing in the choir or about any other aspect of our music ministry, please contact our Minister of Music, David Deffner, through the church office (702-735-7655).

Our Latino congregation also has a vital music ministry, serving for worship at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. each Sunday. Any interested singers/instrumentalists may contact Carlos Garcia through the church office.
